WE REDUCE WASTE AND EMISSIONS
Around 60 million metric tonnes of coconuts are produced each year. They are harvested for their water, oil and fleshy white meat. But what happens to the discarded shells and palm wood? Sadly, almost all of it goes to waste and is often disposed of by burning, which releases toxic emissions, such as carbon dioxide and methane, into the atmosphere.
At CocoBowlz™, we saw huge value in these ‘waste’ materials. Working with local talented and skilled craftsmen and women in Indonesia and Vietnam, two of the world leaders in coconut production, we were able to repurpose this ‘waste’ into beautiful, purposeful products that can be used again and again.
